Periodically during the season we will showcase the attributes that our powerlifters possess and we will display that information on the web site in the form of a questionnaire along with profiles of the lifter in action during the season. This is a great way for us to let people know how much our kids are involved in and how proud we are of them. This rotates during the season and we try to get as many kids on the site as possible.
Enjoy learning about our kids

1- What are your goals for the 2009-2010 season in powerlifting – They can be team goals or they can be individual goals you have for yourself – list at least 2-3?
My first goal was to qualify for both state & nationals. Second I would like to place at either. Third would be to win the boys team trophy at state and nationals.
2- What do you like about powerlifting as a sport? What motivates you to train and lift? What are the hardest things about this sport for you – the biggest challenges/barriers?
At first powerlifting was just a way to stay in shape for football and to get stronger, which it still is, but now it's more. Since being on the team I have more self confidence, a better sense of character, and have met some really great friends too. My motavation to lift is derived from my will to be competitive and win. The hardest part of the sport would definately be the deadlift. Since the begining I've never liked deadlift. It is the one obsticle in my way but, it won't stop me.
3- How important is nutrition to your success in the sport of powerlifting? What is some nutritional advise that you would like to share with your teammates that has helped you?
I am probably the last person besides Lucus Triggs to talk to about nutrition. I would like feedback from others if they have any in this area.
4- What are your hobbies and interests outside of powerlifting?
I love to hangout, play sports, talk, and make people laugh. Some of my hobbies are dog racing, and jamming out to some sick beats. I am a retired rapper don't ya know....
5- What other school activities are you involved in and what leadership roles or accomplishments do you have to share with us from these other activities?
I would like to think of myself as a leader. I'll take control if needed. I've seen a lot in my 16 years on this planet and will always give you some feedback if you want to talk.
6- What is a famous inspirational message or quote that you would like to share that really motivates you or leaves a good impression on you?
Well, I usally always have a quote... but i don't really live by one. I do have a code of ethics though. First, life is as easily given as it is taken away so live your life for the experiences. Second, do everything with no regrets. Thirdly and most important, if you want something go all out for it. Lastly, the competitor's creed is a great way to live your life if you are looking for some inspiration and are a Christian.
*Also I would like to thank all of the coaches for the support that they give to every lifter.
