This was our 1st meet of the 2009-2010 Season and we made the trip with 17 lifters total - 15 boys and 2 girls. The meet for the Dells was mostly focused on getting our newer lifters a good positive experience. The day was AWESOME and the results far exceeeded the coaches expectations. The Dells boasted 2 freshmen females performers - Sawyer Cimaroli & Brie Fredericks and they did not disappoint the crowd. Both girls posted 2nd place results and they each went 9 for 9 on the day. Sawyer Cimaroli also qualified for the state meet at the 123 Lb weight class with a 530 LB total.
The boys team ended up taking 2nd place as a team behind a solid Omro squad and there were a total of 4 champions - Kyle Holzem at 198, Jimmy Steinhorst at 153, Tyler Hovland at 123 & Tyler Volkey at 132 LBS. The Dells had several first time male lifters who competed and they did an outstanding job for their first outing. The results of their performances are listed below -
